Post #16 of the #30in30: Welp.

“SN#2: I’ll probably only make it 7 days tops into the #30in30  challenge. Tops. *shrugs*”

Welp. What can I say… I made the above statement on August 2nd. Today is August 28th, 3 days away from the completion of the #30in30 challenge. As of today I have completed 15 of the 30 posts. Sixteen including this one. Again, welp. But hey, I actually did better than I originally predicted. I’m gonna go ahead and give myself a pat on the back for that.

I joined the challenge so that I could get into the habit of writing more frequently thereby forcing myself to become a better writer. Although I did not successfully complete the challenge, I am quite pleased with the words that were produced within those 15 posts. I’m kinda disappointed, but not really. When I wasn’t writing here at Eclectically_Me, I could be found writing in other places. I’ve been writing everything and anything that I felt was worthy of me picking up a pen. I’ve been taking notes while viewing some helpful videos, writing down bible scriptures to memorize, writing down my plans and strategies etc. I also began writing speeches. Yes speeches. So yea I didn’t totally fail at the #30in30. I just got a heavily involved in other things, and was honestly too mind-drained  and physically tired to post something worthy of your time and internet service.

Another plus about the #30in30 is that I’ve come across several really good blogs. One thing that I’ve discovered during my 16 months in blogging is that the mind is truly a beautiful thing. I’ve read blogs that have inspired me, enlightened me, and made me laugh out loud. You know kinda like the same thing I strive to do here. I had no clue before I started this thing we call blogging, that there were so many people willingly sharing and revealing so much about themselves; and with complete strangers nonetheless. And to that, I can say that I am extremely proud to be one of those crazy people who does so.

If a writing challenge opportunity presents itself again I’m not so sure that I will join in on it. I want to do more than write, more than blog, and  more than figuring out SEO settings, meta tags, and color codes.  All I wanna do is more…
